Schrijven als passie
Al sinds 1976 is de eigenaar van deze vof als docent Duits werkzaam in het beroepsonderwijs. Begonnen op de MEAO schreef hij na 14 jaar les geven in 1992 de eerste readers voor een nieuwe toeristische richting binnen de MEAO. Al na enkele jaren werd deze toeristische richting een zelfstandige opleiding met de naam MTRO en de diverse readers werden herschreven tot echte boeken met als titel “Deutsch im Tourismus” deel 1, 2 en 3. Ook kwam er na enige tijd een methode voor studenten die het MBO binnenkwamen met een achterstand in Duits: “Deutsch Niveau A1”. Dit boek werd niet alleen in de 1e klas van het MBO maar ook op steeds meer VMBO-scholen gebruikt. Toen de nieuwe kwalificaties Frontofficemedewerker, Leisure & Hospitality en Reizen verschenen werd de bestaande methode volledig herschreven en werd de methode : Beruf im Tourismus A2 en B1 uitgebracht. In elk deel worden de kerntaken en werkprocessen van de drie kwalificaties op het vereiste A2 en B1-niveau behandeld. In mei 2013 verscheen de helemaal herschreven A1-methode met als titel: Deutsch A1, bitte?!
Scholarvof is sinds 1995 een vennootschap onder firma van Peter Schols en Martha Schols-Lardinois. Sinds januari 2014 zijn ook Rick en Ivo Schols tot deze vennootschap toegetreden.
De auteur is ook uitgever van de methode en contactpersoon voor de diverse collega’s Duits op scholen in zowel Nederland als België. Martha Lardinois vormt het administratieve gedeelte van de vof, heeft haar inbreng met betrekking tot lay-out en is tevens tekstcorrector bij elke nieuwe uitgave. Al vanaf het begin hebben de zonen Rick en Ivo zich beziggehouden met allerlei werkzaamheden, o.a. distributie van de boeken en sinds enkele jaren verzorgt Rick Schols de huisstijl van de huidige methodes.
